Barcelona president Joan Laporta hopes to have an answer from coach Pep Guardiola in April over new contract talks.

Laporta insists there’s “no pressure” on Guardiola, despite press speculation he could stand down at the end of the season to take a 12-month break from the game.
“It is a reasonable time, it would give us time to seek alternatives, but it is something that we’re not even contemplating because Guardiola has a huge influence in Barcelona. But at Easter it would be good to know who will be our coach,” said Laporta.
